The inaugural IrishCentral Creativity & Arts Awards are kicking off on Friday, February 9 at the American Irish Historical Society in New York City, and you can join in on the fun via Facebook Live! 

On February 9, in New York City, IrishCentral's Creativity & Arts Awards will reveal who has been chosen by the public and experts in the specific fields to win a top honor in the Irish community. The inaugural IrishCentral Creativity & Arts Awards honor the excellence and innovation of the Irish creative community in America.

Forty-four creative Irish leaders in the US have been nominated across eight categories: Media & Innovation, Voice of Today,  The Written Word, The Screen, The Stage, Fashion & Design, Visual Art, and Irish Centers & Festivals.

Friday night, the nominees will be feted and the winners announced! Tickets for the awards ceremony are sold out, but you can watch the winners accept their awards and enjoy special performances via the live stream on TG4's Facebook page and IrishCentral's Facebook page

A special award will be presented to Grammy-Award-winning folk singer Susan McKeown, founder and executive director of the Cuala Foundation that promotes diaspora cultural well-being through the CualaNYC festival and other projects.
