Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn had a low-key Christmas in Limerick

Taylor Swift and her British boyfriend Joe Alwyn spent Christmas at Glin Castle in Ireland.

According to Goss.ie, Swift rented out Glin Castle in Co Limerick for two weeks over the Christmas period. The pop star reportedly fell in love with the Munster area of Ireland when she visited there prior to performing two shows in Dublin’s Croke Park in June.

A source told Goss.ie: “Before Taylor’s arrival, staff at Glin Castle had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, to protect her identity during their stay.”

“She was also spotted at the local pub O’Shaughnessy’s, but it’s pretty old-fashioned so not many people there knew who she was.”

“Taylor and Joe kept a low profile, but seemed to really enjoy themselves as they explored the Irish countryside,” they added.

While neither Taylor nor Joe posted to social media saying that they were in Ireland, Joe did share a snap of a rather picturesque walk, which many believe is from the grounds of Glin Castle.

Swift didn't drop any hints on social media either and on Christmas day, only posted a picture of her and one of her cats:

Glin Castle, built in the 1780s, is the ancestral home of the FitzGerald family and was only converted into a luxury hotel in the past few years.
