Social interactions can be hard, we’ve all been there before. A handshake gets mistaken for a fist bump. An air kiss turns into a hug. You bob and they weave. You’re waving at someone who either can’t see you or has no idea who you are.

During St. Patrick’s Day 2015 at the White House, Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Enda Kenny went in for a handshake. And President Obama did not see it.

The moment was very human and awkward by itself, but the forlorn look and little stretch Kenny gives his hand after made it go viral at the time.

Now, The Guardian newspaper has included it in their compilation of the top 5 most awkward handshakes in Obama's career.

Kenny is in high-ranking company though, with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, Fidel Castro, Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, former Australian PM Tony Abbott, and Vladimir Putin.
