Mulroney has known Markle for several years and was once rumored to be the actress's maid of honor. Although she didn’t take on that role, she still was on hand in England along with her family for her best friend's big day.

How did Jessica Mulroney meet Meghan Markle?

Jessica Mulroney and Meghan Markle met when Markle relocated to Canada when she started filming the TV series “Suits.”  Mulroney was born into Canada’s wealthy Browns shoe dynasty and has established herself as a stylist and philanthropist.

The pair met in 2011 when Markle hired Mulroney as a fashion stylist. Although their relationship began professionally, the women quickly bonded over their love of yoga, dogs, expensive red wine and charity work and Markle now counts Mulroney among her best friends.

In fact, it’s believed that it was through Mulroney that Markle began to hang out in the social circles that led her to Prince Harry.

What part did Jessica Mulroney play in the Royal wedding?

It was rumored that Mulroney was to be Meghan Markle’s maid-of-honor but the bride decided to go the traditional royal route and had only children in her bridal party.

As a bridal expert, however, Mulroney was still on hand for plenty of advice.

“I was told that she’s been over several times to see the dress, she was there for the first fitting and for the final fitting. I think she’s been very much a part of helping Meghan cull everything together for the evening reception and probably has helped with the outfits for the wedding party as well,” a source told Canada’s etalk.

“She is Meghan’s best friend and the person Meghan trusts with helping to plan every detail. She’s the one helping Meghan to make all the key decisions. They are on the phone daily discussing every element of the wedding, from the dress to the flowers to the canapés and the photography. Meghan is very dependent on Jessica and Jessica has been totally indispensable. She’s helped Meghan and Harry with so much already,” a source also previously told Vanity Fair.
