This December 31, start your celebrations off right by celebrating Irish New Year's at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House in Maryland.
New Year's Eve is one of the most spectacular days of the year to be in Ireland, with celebrations big and small, raucous and mellow, all throughout the country. It's the perfect time to raise a pint of Guinness with friends old and new, to bid farewell to the year gone by and usher in all the possibilities ahead.
If you can't be in Ireland for New Year's, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House in Halethorpe, Maryland has the next best option, inviting Guinness lovers from near and far to celebrate the dawning of the New Year in Ireland.
At 7:00 pm EST on December 31, the Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House will raise a glass as midnight strikes in Dublin, the original home of Guinness. It's an ideal time to enjoy the first Guinness brewery on US soil in over 60 years. You can even hop on the phone with friends and family ringing in 2019 in Ireland!
To mark the special occasion, there will be a special mystery beer release. Everyone present will receive a sample of the mystery brew, which will be on tap until it runs out.
Just 10 miles from downtown Baltimore and 30 miles northeast of Washington, D.C., the Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House is conveniently located and part of an exciting and growing brewing scene in Maryland.
The first part of the brewery's name takes inspiration from the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Dublin – where the company has experimented in beer for more than a century. The second part of the name, "Barrel House," is a nod to the long history of Guinness brewers maturing beer in wood barrels.
