If you’re a die-hard Hozier fan, an aficionado of Gabriel Byrne’s finest roles from “The Riordans” to “In Treatment,” or a lover of Riverdance since its debut at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, then you’ll want to be at the Irish Arts Center’s Spirit of Ireland Gala on October 14.

The New York beacon of Irish arts and culture is celebrating its 17th annual Spirit of Ireland Gala, co-chaired by none other than actors Liam Neeson and Gabriel Byrne and Irish philanthropic legend Loretta Brennan-Glucksman. The honorees of the night will be “Take Me to Church” singer/songwriter Hozier, the iconic Riverdance star Jean Butler, and the Chairman and CEO of Xerox Corporation, Ursula Burns.

The celebration, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, will include performances by Hozier, the Irish traditional music duo Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill, and special appearances by Butler and famed Irish poet Paul Muldoon.

Tickets to the event start at $1,000 and go towards a worthy cause, as the non-profit Irish Arts Center is currently in the final stretch of a $60 million capital campaign for a new permanent home, at 726 11th Avenue, adjoining the Center’s existing building at 553 West 51st Street. They expect to complete the campaign this year—Ireland’s Centenary—and to begin construction in 2017.

However, if that’s beyond your budget, you can enter their raffle to win two Chairman’s Circle level tickets to the gala (a $5,000 value) and a visit backstage to meet Hozier, Gabriel Byrne and Jean Butler (in other words, the ultimate Irish party). The winner will be announced this Friday, October 7, and contestants can enter a maximum of 10 times.
