Kyla’s pregnancy news comes not long after she released her debut memoir, with
Happy, Thank You. More, Please was released at the start of the month, with Kyla explaining in the book that the title is a mantra she has used for many years.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday morning, Kyla shared a picture alongside her husband Simon with the pair holding up a positive pregnancy test. The picture also includes an ultrasound scan with ‘April 2027’ written on the picture.

"Happy thank you more please," Kyla wrote alongside the post, prompting a slew of congratulatory messages and well wishes.

Leading the charge was 2FM presenter Carl Mullan who wrote: "Ah massive congrats."

TV presenter Angela Scanlon said: "The best news xxx," while fellow presenter Sile Seoige added: "Whoop!!"

It comes not long after the comic opened up on her hopes of becoming pregnant, sharing: "I would love to be a mother, but if for some reason it doesn’t come, know that what we as women bring to the table is so much more than childbearing."

Speaking to the Irish Independent, Kyla shared why she had been sharing her journey online.

"If it takes me being a bit more open and a bit more vulnerable to get it going, I’m happy to do that," she said. "Very, very happy to do that, in fact."

The baby news comes following Kyla and Simon’s wedding in June 2026. The couple has been together for several years, with Simon popping the question during a road trip in his native South Africa.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Cork city over the summer.
