"The Odyssey" wrapped filming earlier this year and is set to release in July 2026.
Cillian has been a consistent star of Nolan’s blockbuster films, winning his first Best Actor Oscar for his performance in 2023’s "Oppenheimer".
The Corkman also played the villain Scarecrow across Nolan’s "Batman" trilogy, the victim of the famous dream heist in 2010’s "Inception" and a soldier in 2017’s "Dunkirk".
However, the iconic pair will not be teaming up for the seventh time yet as Cillian stayed clear of "The Odyssey’s" stellar cast.
In an interview with Variety, the 49-year-old was asked if he was disappointed not to feature in the upcoming film.
Cillian quipped: "No, I have ROMO: Relief Of Missing Out."
After a spout of laughter from himself and the room, Cillian added: "No I can’t wait to see it. If any director in the world could tackle 'The Odyssey', it’s got to be Christopher Nolan.
"I’m so excited to see it. I mean he’s one-in-a-million, he’s been a huge part of my life as an actor and I just can’t wait to see what he does with it."

Nolan will be adapting Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem for the big screen, with Matt Damon starring as Odysseus.
Odysseus is the Greek king of Ithaca and the tale chronicles his long and perilous journey home after the Trojan War as he attempts to reunite with his wife, Penelope.
The ensemble cast also features Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal and more.
Filming took place from February to August throughout various regions worldwide, including Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Iceland and Western Sahara.
With an estimated production budget of $250million, it is poised to be the most expensive film of Nolan’s career and the first blockbuster to be shot entirely using 70mm IMAX film cameras.
The film will show Odysseus’ encounters with mythical beings such as the Cyclops Polyphemus, the Sirens, and the witch-goddess Circe.
Tom Holland plays the legendary king’s son Telemachus and a 70-second-long teaser trailer showed Tom conversing with Jon Bernthal’s character.
It debuted exclusively in cinemas ahead of screenings for "Universal’s Jurassic World Rebirth" in July.
