Hollywood icon and original "Harry Potter" director Chris Columbus recently brushed off the HBO reboot series, asking "what’s the point?"
The "Home Alone" and "Mrs Doubtfire" director appeared on "The Rest is Entertainment" podcast, hosted by Richard Osman, and discussed his feelings about the rebooting of the legendary franchise. Chris directed the first two movies, "The Philosopher’s Stone" and "The Chamber of Secrets", before opting out of the third film.
When asked about the reboot, Chris said: "I’m seeing these photographs… and he’s wearing the exact same costume that we designed for Hagrid. Part of me was like: What’s the point?
"I thought the costumes and everything was going to be different, but it’s more of the same. It’s all going to be the same.
"It’s very flattering for me, because I’m like, that’s exactly the Hagrid costume that we designed."
