A dolphin was spotted in Dublin's Liffey River on Wednesday morning
Dublin welcomed a new kind of visitor on Wednesday morning when a dolphin was spotted in the city’s Liffey River.
Yes, a dolphin.

Perhaps the strong gusts of wind credited to Storm Diana blew the dolphin astray? Or maybe the dolphin was headed to the big city to do a spot of Christmas shopping?
A lot of people were wondering if the Dublin dolphin was perhaps a relative of Fungie, Ireland's other famous dolphin who lives off the coast of Dingle in Co Kerry.
But on Facebook, The Irish Dolphin and Whale Group said the Dublin dolphin is a short-beaked common dolphin, a different species than Fungie.
The IDWG also noted that the Dublin dolphin appeared to be in good health and that spectators should not interfere with it.
