Kim Kardashian has shared with her 21.4 million Twitter followers what a “relaxing and romantic” honeymoon she and new husband Kanye West had in Ireland last week.

But rumors are building that the real reason the newlyweds moved on to Prague last Thursday, cutting their Irish trip short by two days, is because Kim was unhappy with some of the less than glamorous parts of their itinerary, which included two trips to the cinema – once in Portlaoise and again in Tullamore.

Had the best most relaxing romantic honeymoon in Ireland & Prague! Missed my baby girl so much! Excited to be home to squeeze her so tight!

The MailOnline reports that Kim was not exactly thrilled. “How the couple ended up in gloomy Portlaoise, is a mystery to me," an Irish source said.

“It consists of flat midlands, working class villages and very little to write home about in the way of touristy sights.

“Not only did they skip the touristy stuff, they also spent an entire afternoon riding mountain bikes on the muddy and treacherous trails in the Ballyhoura Mountains north of Cork.

“And that couldn’t have been very romantic, not with two assistants and two bodyguards in tow!”

So Kim and Kayne have gone from Portlaoise Cinema to Tullamore Cinema?? SERIOUSLY?? #kimyewatch

It's thought that West chose Ireland for their honeymoon because the Emerald Isle has sentimental value to the couple – they celebrated his 35th birthday in Dublin during his 2012 "Watch the Throne" tour, and Ireland was also the honeymoon destination of Kim’s mother, Kris, and step-father Bruce Jenner after they wed in 1991.

Castle Oliver in Ardpatrick, Co. Limerick and Ballyfinn House in Co. Laois were certainly steps in the sumptuous direction, but unless the aim of Kimye’s honeymoon was to keep things as low-key as possible (or to once and for all prove that stars really are just like us) they could have easily stepped up the glamour and the romance – and maybe had an even better time for it.

The cinema is grand for date night, but is it really honeymoon material? Here are a few better ideas.
