A new public bus route allows visitors a new, car-free way to explore some of Ireland's most iconic west coast landmarks - ideal for travelers looking to avoid the hassle of driving and soak in the scenery.
International travellers can now experience Ireland’s legendary west coast - including the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands - without needing to rent a car, thanks to a brand-new public transport route linking Galway City to Doolin Pier and the Cliffs of Moher coach park.
The newly launched Route 351 bus, operated by TFI Local Link Limerick Clare, connects Galway City with must-see destinations like Kinvara, and Ballyvaughan. It continues along the stunning coast to Doolin Pier, where travellers can hop on a Doolin Ferry to visit the Aran Islands or take a scenic Cliffs of Moher boat cruise. The route ends at the Cliffs of Moher coach park.
This launch marks a significant step toward sustainable travel in Ireland, allowing visitors to enjoy iconic sites without the stress of driving narrow rural roads or renting a car. The route is also timed to connect with national rail services in Oranmore and daily ferry departures in Doolin.
