In the battle for Notre Dame Quarterback it’s a tie. Candidates Everett Golson and Andrew Hendrix have yet to distinguish themselves from the pack according to Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly.

Golson and Hendrix hope to prove themselves in the Blue and Gold game this Saturday at 2 pm at the stadium. They plan on seeing lots of action in the spring contest and have been rotating as the number one quarterback in fall practices.

This laborious process of finding a QB pecking order seems to be frustrating for Kelly. He does not have an answer for the position at this point.

"If I had Andrew Luck I'd be very happy right now," Kelly joked. "I'd love to have one guy."

For Saturday the Fighting Irish will be evenly divided into two teams. The offensive line will wear green and play for both sides. QBs Dayne Crist and Tommy Rees will red and not be in contact.

Kelly plans on being mic’d for the broadcast of the game on Versus at 2pm. He will not make a habit out of it however.
