Each week leading up to the Boston Irish Festival on June 7-9th, we will be announcing major events taking place at this largest Irish Festival on the east coast. Don’t miss out on this great weekend, featuring all things Irish! Here’s a look at one of the main events for Sunday, June 9th.
After filling Boston’s Berklee Performance Centre to rave reviews, Atlantic Steps will bring their signature dance show to the Boston Irish Festival. Atlantic Steps tells the story of Ireland’s oldest dance form, sean-nos dancing, and features some of the finest dancers and musicians in the Irish tradition.
Co-Director Brian Cunningham hails from the Connemara region. Boston resident Kieran Jordan serves as Choreographer bringing her signature style to the stage. The dance troupe features another Boston native, Jackie O’Riley. Atlantic Steps focuses on bringing sean-nos back to center stage with dynamic choreography and the undeniable partnership between music and dance. You can see—and hear!—them at the Boston Irish Festival on Sunday, June 9th.
