Police excavations in Wicklow.
The excavation began last week following a credible tip-off which was made to Gardaí, the Daily Mail has reported.
The dig was temporarily stopped earlier in the week after a garda dug up what appeared to be the axle of a car with a shovel.
The axle and another item, which also appeared to be part of a car, were removed from the soil.
