Black-and-white Falabella pony, Eleanor, was rescued by My Lovely Horse Rescue two years ago.
At the start of the month, staff were left ‘byond devastated’ at the theft of Eleanor.
In a turn of good news, after extensive searches were carried out by volunteers in recent weeks, they were reunited with the pony on Friday.
Co-founder of the charity Martina Kenny told of how they had been "up and down the country" as well as the United Kingdom searching.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, Ms Kenny said it was "unbelievable" to have gotten Eleanor back.
"We’re not letting her out of our sight,’ she confirmed, ‘She’s so spoiled. She’s got ribbons in her hair."
Taking to social media, the charity shared the poignant moment they finally located Eleanor, as they extended thanks to everyone who gave their support.
"You carried us through some very dark days," they wrote, "We will never be able to express how grateful we are here for the love you showed Eleanor and all of us at My Lovely Horse Animal Rescue.
