Ring in the new year and the new decade with delicious brews at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House in Maryland.

To mark the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House is hosting two very special events.

On December 31, you can celebrate New Year's in Ireland -- without all the hassle of a transatlantic flight! The brewery's New Year's Eve celebration runs from 3 pm to 9 pm, and at 7 pm on the nose, when the clock strikes midnight at the St. James' Gate Guinness Brewery in Dublin, there will be a toast for the new year in Ireland. Free samples of Guinness' New Year's mystery beer will be given for the toast. More info here

Then, on January 1, you can celebrate the first day of 2020 with brunch at Guinness Open Gate Brewery's restaurant, 1817 (named for the year Guinness first came to America).  From 10 am - 6 pm, they'll be serving their mouth-watering brunch menu, with dishes like Irish eggs Benedict with Guinness brown bread and corned beef, boxty (a traditional Irish potato pancake) with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, and a breakfast sandwich with Dubliner cheddar cheese and smoked bacon on a potato roll. At both events, you can order from a special holiday tap list of Baltimore and Dublin brews. On tap for the holidays are experimental Baltimore brews like Gingerbread Spiced Ale, Winter Warmer, Nitro Chocolate Mint Stout, Tangerine Cream Ale, and a Double Coffee Stout; core Baltimore Brews like Guinness Blonde and Over the Moon Milk Stout; and the Dublin brews like Guinness Draught and Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.
