Who is Emma Sophia?

Emma has been singing since she was a baby, and her parents nurtured this gift, quickly enrolling her in professional vocal coaching lessons. She first rose to prominence at the tender age of three when her videos of "Ireland's Call" and "I'll Tell Ma" went viral.

She has since had tremendous success with her music videos, which have been shared on social media worldwide. For eight weeks during Ireland's lockdown in March 2020, she hosted her own show on YouTube, The Emma Sophia Show, where she performed a new song every week, told jokes, undertook a weekly musical challenge, and interviewed professional musicians via Zoom.

In 2021, her rendition of "Danny Boy," which was released ahead of St. Patrick's Day, received millions of views.

The following year, she released an Irish language version of "Silent Night." The music video was filmed at the pre-famine cottage of the famed Irish emigrant Dan O'Hara at Connemara Heritage Centre in Co Galway.

Emma Sophia, who Celtic Woman hugely influences, also loves stage performances. She has performed at many large indoor and outdoor concerts, including the Lord Mayor's Tea Dance in Cork and the Joy in the Park festival, also in Cork.

She has also performed several songs live at the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Aras an Uachtarain, per invitation from the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins.
