It’s been three years since world-renowned American skateboarder Tony Hawk married his love Catherine Goodman at Adare Manor, County Limerick, recently named Hotel of the Year. The enchanting elements to their Irish wedding day remain as intriguing as ever.

There’s something about the Emerald Isle that has been stealing the hearts of couples from all over the world for years, including world famous sports stars like Hawk; be it the alluring landscape, traditional tastes, or the sense of humor of the locals, that enchants the rich and famous faces from across the globe.

However, for many couples, including Hawk and his love Goodman, it was family roots that had them choose the vibrant village of Adare, Co. Limerick.  “I have ancestors there, that go back to the Dunraven’s and Adare Manor,” Catherine said of the beautiful quaint village, where lies the beautifully refurbished Adare Manor.

“Tony and I visited Adare for the first time three years before the wedding and I was entranced,” Catherine told WedIreland.com, a new website that aims to make planning a wedding in Ireland from abroad seamless.

Despite now reaching their third wedding anniversary, Tony and Catherine are not alone in choosing Ireland as their dream wedding destination, with its popularity remaining strong for newly engaged lovebirds. Many couples travel each year to exchange vows on the little island of Ireland, with 13.6 percent of weddings taking place there coming from the U.S. and other countries around the world.

Your wedding is the happiest day of your life and for Hawk and his wife, being surrounded by the beauty of Ireland on their wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect.

“We live in North County San Diego, lots of sun and skate parks, however, I would take a gloomy Irish morning over sunshine any day,"Goodman told WedIreland.com

Wedireland.com, a new website for couples planning their dream Irish wedding day from anywhere in the world, has recently launched with the mission to make planning your dream Irish wedding a reality.  A dream of saying ‘I do’ amongst the rolling green hills that is popular with couples from expats to rich and famous globally. A wedding magazine is also available to purchase on wedireland.com .
