The United Nations St Patrick's Day party is exactly where we should have been this March 17.

We bet your St Patrick's Day party wasn't half as good the United Nations St Patrick's Day party looked! Ireland's Mission to the UN organized their colleagues a little bit of a session and it looks like it was great craic altogether.

The team even got up to perform the Walls of Limerick and show off some traditional Irish dance.

Ireland is, of course, in the midst of its bid to be on the United Nations Security Council for 2021-2022 and has been throwing out all the stops to woo support from other countries.

Back in July 2018, IrishCentral attended the launch of the bid where U2's Bono told the diplomats and staff gathered “you can count on Ireland to do its part in that work.”

“I love that it exists, and I’ll tell you, I don’t take for granted that it exists, or that it will continue to exist because let’s be honest, we live in a time when institutions as vital to human progress as the United Nations are under attack," he said.
