The company is inviting construction workers and safety personnel to attend its "Networking Breakfast" and is additionally urging Mayo fans to turn Times Square green and red on Saturday evening.

Attendees will have the opportunity to win Mayo match merchandise, with the first 120 fans receiving a voucher for a free pint at Connolly's Pub in Midtown Manhattan.

Attendees will also be part of a massive Mayo supporters group photo and video ahead of the clash with New York.

Harry Hughes, CEO of Portwest, said Saturday's event was a way of "giving back" to the people of Mayo and their customers in the US.

"We're incredibly grateful for the amazing support we've received from American customers over the past 10 years," Hughes said in a statement.

"This event is our way of giving back and celebrating our shared passion for Mayo GAA."

Mayo are heavy favorites to beat New York in their opening game of the 2024 Connacht Football Championship, despite having to make the arduous journey across the Atlantic.

The sides last met in 2019, with Mayo running out comfortable 21-point winners on a score of 1-22 to 0-04.
