The man who will forever be known to many as the famous Christian Grey in the movie franchise "Fifty Shades of Grey" has always been able to turn heads...with his acting, that is.

Late last year, the actor was announced as the new Diet Coke man. Yes, those of a certain age will surely remember that nineties ad featuring a topless construction worker who kept a group of office women glued to the windows at 11.30 am each day. With, of course, the very seductive Etta James' song "I Just Want to Make Love to You".

Bosses at Diet Coke, thirty years on from the original, have taken a very different spin - in the form of sea swimming.

Standing with a cool can in his hand, Jamie says "Cold-water swimming is a passion that's become very important to me, it's my way of finding a moment for myself, and I try to do it as often as I can. I hope that giving a peek behind the scenes of my lesser-known passion inspires others to take a moment for themselves, crack open an ice-cold Diet Coke, and explore their own personal tastes."

The campaign brings everyone back to nature, taking a moment to take in all the beautiful surroundings (and that includes Jamie). Senior brand manager, Tara Byrnes, stated how "The average Diet Coke break is eight minutes, creating a small but powerful moment to recharge, and Jamie Dornan brings this insight to life perfectly.

"His passion for cold-water swimming helps inspire others to embrace what they love and take time for breaks."

The ad sure has grabbed attention, but from the comments, it seems that it is not the idea of returning to nature that has got people hooked.

When the advert was put up on Reddit, within minutes, comments began to pour in.

Some got straight to the point, stating, "Yeah, so like I can confirm this is working for me," while another stated.

"I've suddenly forgotten all about Pepsi Max." Others just simply said that after watching, they were suddenly thirsty for a can.

With many drooling, others were not convinced. "The facial expression in that first picture screams, "This man has never held a Diet Coke in his life."

Others just couldn't get some of the actors' other roles in the past out of their heads, particularly the hit series "The Fall".

"Jamie Dornan always looks like he would rather be doing anything else than what he's doing. Except when he's playing a serial killer."

Despite all this, we have to say Jamie plays the role perfectly and certainly gets us wanting a cool can - why not take a look for yourself - oh and watch out for the bloopers at the end.
