Holidaying or living in Ireland, have a US passport and love Irish whiskey? This Dublin bar has the perfect Independence Day present for you.

Happy 4th of July! Ireland and the US have a long history and to celebrate their continued friendship, popular Dublin bar Bruxelles has a very special Independence Day treat for their American customers.

Teaming up with Tullamore Dew, the tourist spot, located in Dublin City center, will hand over a drink to both yourself and a friend if you can flash them a glimpse of your US passport.

"For generations, Ireland’s diaspora of 80 million people has built and blended around the world,” said John Quinn, Global Brand Ambassador for Tullamore Dew.

"Tullamore Dew is a whiskey favored by Irish emigrants since 1829, and now we're championing a 'blended world.'

"We believe that a blended world, with blended cultures and backgrounds, is a more interesting place.

"According to the United States Census Bureau, in 2018, 10 percent of people living in the USA claim Irish heritage.

"We want to celebrate this blend of culture and on Independence Day extend a warm Irish welcome to American citizens either living in, or visiting, Ireland."

Fair play, Bruxelles!
