Night after night, photographer Noel Keating stood perched upon a cliff through the cold, wet Donegal weather with a dream. A dream of capturing on camera the beauty of the Northern Lights in the skies above Donegal.
Settled atop of the Slieve League cliffs – the highest cliffs in Ireland – Noel waited patiently with his broken camera through the loneliness of winter nights until, rather fittingly, on St. Patrick’s Day this year, he achieved his goal.
The result is phenomenal and we think you’ll agree that his effort and patience were completely worth it. The finished time-lapse video looks almost otherworldly as a rainbow of colors stream across the Irish skyline.
