Los Angeles certainly has a far less visible Irish community than other cities - but you can be sure they will be out in force for St. Patrick's Day.

Culver City Cougars are making sure that the most patriotic day on the calendar is celebrated in as authentic a manner as possible.

The amateur “Gaelic Football team and social club” are hosting a day at the races, to take place at the Santa Anita Racetrack.

On the agenda, naturally, are “plenty of craic and good times” at this adults-only day out.

Inspired by the success of last year’s inaugural sold-out race day, the Culver City Cougars are attempting to up the ante by extending the invite (tongue firmly in cheek of course) to “fresh off the boaters and non-GAA players" - minimal GAA talk is promised.

Tickets are sold in batches of two - encouraging you to bring a pal - and cover admission to a private trackside area at Santa Anita Park, private premium coach transfers to and from the racecourse, on-coach cocktails, snacks, and live music.

Some snacks and booze will also be provided at the venue.

Should you feel like a flutter, matched betting deposits up to $75 from sponsors, TVG, will also be provided.

Tickets available on Eventbrite, from $75, here.
