Do you have the reddest locks in town?
The Irish Cultural Center of New England hosts it's 22nd annual Boston Irish Festival, which will be celebrated from Friday June 8th to Sunday June 10th. The festival will give people the chance to experience Irish music, dance, sport, art, food and drink all within the closeness of Canton, Massachusetts.

The festival lineup will kick off with Gaelic Storm, a band that takes a distinct pride in the fact that its music and performances are a celebration of Irish culture, and offer a connection home for millions of Irish Americans. The lineup will continue with other great bands, such as The Glengarry Bhoys, The Prodigals, The Screaming Orphans, Devri Band and The Gobshites performing on the main stage throughout the weekend.

In addition to the great live music, there will be a chance to participate in a world record photo. On June 9th at 2 pm, the Boston Irish Festival will be attempting to break the world record for the most redheads in one area. The try will be open to redheads of all ages who are looking to be a part of history.
Even though you may not be a redhead, you can still participate in the Irish raisin bread baking competition. Please bring your bread to the music tent on Saturday between 11am and 5pm where the public will vote on the appearance of the bread. The top 12 winners will move on to the final round on Sunday where a panel of judges will determine the winner.

If you feel like being more active, the 5K road race is perfect for a little exercise and a whole lot of fun. The cost is $25 per person, and includes free entry into the festival. The race will take place on Saturday at 9:30am and is open to all ages. Register online at www.racemenu.com/events/12348-Boston-Irish-Festival-5K-Run-Walk
