The Irish International Immigrant Center, Boston

It is always difficult to say goodbye to a dedicated staff member. Last Friday, Kielan O'Boyle walked through the doors of the IIIC for the last time as an employee.

Throughout her three years at the organization, Kielan has remained dedicated to our mission, consistently going above and beyond her job description to support the Irish community in Boston.

Kielan originally came to the IIIC during her time in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps--a clear indication of her dedication to service. She originally worked as the Outreach and Case Manager; organizing Home Health Aide classes, helping coordinate our legal services clinics, and supporting the work of other staff. Kielan's enthusiasm for her work led her to seek out additional ways to contribute to the organization, and her efforts were recognized with a promotion to Manager of Operations and Communications. Kielan recruited volunteers, coordinated our external communications, and managed our internal operations.

The IIIC thanks Kielan for her immeasurable contributions. It is hard to see her go, but this is a testament to her value to us.

We wish her much success and happiness in her next chapter!
