By Kim Jorgensen, IIIC Program Assistant

Six weeks just flew by for the Tyrone-Donegal Partnership Wider Horizons group who were here in Boston training in media production. Not only did the group volunteer in the community access stations, but they used their developing media skills to produce documentaries about three local non-profits. On June 28th, they celebrated their experiences at a graduation ceremony at the IIIC. Also in attendance were the host families, IIIC staff and members of the community access TV stations where the trainees worked. The evening was full of food, fun and some fond recollections of their time in Boston.

Congratulations to all the trainees and good luck in your future careers in media back home in Ireland. Thanks to all of the host families for opening up their homes and to the community TV access stations who gave these young people a chance to work at their organizations and gain some great experience: Belmont Media Center, Newton Media Center, Watertown Community Access, Arlington Community Media, Cambridge Community TV, Somerville Community Access, Boston Neighborhood Network, Revere TV, and Malden Access TV.
