Gerry Regan and Joe Gannon have had a dream for 15 years to keep Irish heritage vital and relevant. In that time, they have produced compelling content on their website chronicling the epic history of the Irish worldwide for hundreds of thousands of readers each year. Today, they are looking for your help to better enter a new phase of The Wild Geese. In early 2013, they will launch a truly dynamic community alongside their newly designed, social-media enhanced website, platforms designed to help the Irish diaspora around the globe share their stories, connect with their heritage, and explore their history.

From their earliest days, they faced the challenge of creating new content that truly reflects the range and depth of the Irish experience worldwide. They have had little income to pay writers, developers, technologists, and marketers, as they lacked a platform that would support a sustainable business model. Further, they have come to see how fragile the Irish heritage can be, with archives and historic sites often underfunded, or under siege from mercenary interests, and government support eroded by huge and growing budget deficits.

"We’re building a community capable of marshaling both passion and indignation in pursuit of respect for, and preservation of, the culture that has sustained so many, survived so much. But we need your help, and want your voices included."
