A survery in Ireland of countrywide property has found that there are 33,000 empty and newly built houses and apartments.

The Irish Deparment of Environment took a survey of over 2,800 housing developements across the country this summer. These figures have been released as a group of experts are gathered to find a solution of how to deal with Ireland's 'ghost estates'.
