Irish American actress Olivia Wilde has filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court. According to People magazine she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason she wishes to divorce her husband of eight years Tao Ruspoli, an Italian prince.
The couple eloped and were married in 2003.
In 2007 Wilde told People "We eloped, then had weddings at my parents' Virginia farmhouse and the garden of his family's castle outside Rome...There were stilt walkers, drummers, flag bearers; it was surreal and beautiful and amazing, like a fairy tale."
The couple announced their separation in February. Wilde is now rumored to be dating Ryan Gosling. They were spotted at the Cincinnati aquarium and were seen getting cozy at the Golden Globes.
Wilde recently filmed the movies "Cowboys & Aliens" with Harrison Ford and "James Bond" actor Daniel Craig and "Butter" with Hugh Jackman and "Twilight" actress Ashley Greene.
