The troubled 'Mean Girls' actress was forced to call the police after coming face to face with an intruder at her Venice Beach property in Los Angeles on Monday (01.02.12) and Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan has confirmed that Lonnie Short has been convicted of trespassing and given a restraining order.
He has also been sentenced to two years' probation after pleading no contest last Wednesday (01.04.12), according to E! Online.
Mr. Short arrived at Lindsay's home at 6.30pm and began knocking on the door claiming he needed to speak with her.
Although Lindsay did not allow the 64-year-old man into her home, he refused to leave, repeatedly demanding she speak to him.
This is the latest in a series of setbacks for Lindsay, who had her $5,000 Chanel handbag - which contained her passport, plane ticket, probation documents and $10,000 in cash - stolen from her jeep while on a weekend break in Hawaii in December.
