Police in west Belfast are describing the murder of a 28-year-old man in front of his partner and an 11-year-old child as "chilling."

Raymond Johnston, 28, was shot in the chest last night, Tuesday, February 13, at a house in the Poleglass estate in west Belfast.

While the motive remains unclear, the same housing estate was the site of a so-called punishment killing in 2016 by the vigilante group Republican Action Against Drugs, and police are considering that similar events may have unfolded in this tragic case.
