The National Lottery has also confirmed on Thursday that the winner has made contact.
"We are absolutely thrilled to have heard from our EuroMillions winner," Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery, said.
"At this point, our priority is to give them the necessary time and space to make arrangements and let this life-changing news sink in.
"No other details will be revealed at this stage, however, the name of the winning Cork shop will be announced tomorrow."
Yesterday, Monaghan told RTÉ Radio's Morning Ireland that winners have 90 days to claim their prize, but that she was hoping that the EuroMillions Jackpot winner would make contact before then.
She also encouraged the winner to "stay calm," adding: "I know that may be easier said than done. Have a cup of tea and just let it sink in."
Tuesday night's EuroMillions Jackpot winner is the biggest lotto prize ever won in Ireland, and the 18th EuroMillions Jackpot to be won in Ireland.
