The group requested that superhero capes be delivered by October 10 so they could be ready for the October 31 holiday.

The Rotunda NICU Knitters and Crocheters group is a volunteer organization that knits and crochets for the babies at Rotunda Hospital in Dublin.

They say: "With your donations, we make gift packs for NICU throughout the year (Easter, Summer, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) and provide hats for theatre, blankets, gowns and nests for the Bereavement Team, and various items to the Social Work Department on request."

The group says they accept:

  • blankets (from 24-36 inches square in any color)
  • cardigans (premature & newborn size)
  • hats (large premature or newborn size)
  • booties
  • knitted toys
  • angel nests & gowns (white only)

They provide patterns on their Facebook page, but you can use any pattern you’d like, and encourage knitters and crocheters to use their imagination when decorating.
