St. Oliver's National School in Killarney, Co Kerry is going viral for capturing the true meaning of Christmas in Ireland with its new video "The Old Bike - A Christmas Tale."
The Christmas video, which stars a group of sixth-class students from the Irish primary school, follows a group of friends as they cycle to and from school every day during "cycle to school week."
Each day, the group calls at the house of one of their classmates on the way to school, only for the young boy to shun their advances and walk to school instead.
Perplexed, the group discovers that the boy doesn't have a working bike and decides to do something about it.
The young students resolve to raise enough money to buy their friend a bike of his own and begin by busking on the streets of Killarney, only to realize that they haven't made enough money to buy a bike.
Undeterred, they again looked to the local community for help by holding a bake sale on the streets of the Co Kerry town, receiving support from locals of all ages.
This time, the group succeeded in raising enough money to buy a bike for their friend and returned to his house the following morning to ask him to cycle to school with them.
Once again, the boy is prepared to shun their offer, but his face soon lights up when he realizes what his friends have done.
Since being posted earlier in December, the sweet video has been viewed more than 22,000 times on Facebook and more than 1,400 times on YouTube.
It's also been met with a warm reception, with one person writing "What a fabulous video and lovely Christmas message!" and another saying "Take a bow one and all. Super feelgood Christmas mini movie."
"The Old Bike - A Christmas Tale" was directed by school teacher Noel O'Sullivan and featured an original Christmas song written by O'Sullivan and sung by principal Colm Ó Súilleabháin and teacher Sinéad O'Flynn.
The story was written by Elaine Price based on an idea from Oisin O'Connor.
