The North Fork community in Long Island are working together to raise funds for an Irishman diagnosed with throat cancer.

Patch.com reports that a benefit for Dominick Colfer will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Whiskey Wind on Front St. in Greenport. Entry into the event cost $20 and will include live music, a buffet, and a 50/50 auction. One hundred percent of the profits will benefit Colfer.

"Come down to the Whiskey Wind Tavern for a great time, to benefit a great guy. Our friend Dominick was diagnosed with throat cancer roughly six months ago; he is currently undergoing chemo and radiation and needs our help. Dominick is a hardworking Irishman whom we love dearly, and we will do anything and everything we can to make this time of healing easier for him financially."

The Whiskey Wind Tavern also created a GoFundMe account, “Funds for Dom,” to benefit Colfer.
