The whiskey business in Ireland is booming – from a new whiskey launched by the owners of Guinness, a massive investment and refurb at Jameson’s distillery, to whiskey bars popping up around Dublin. It seems that people just can’t get enough of Irish whiskey.

The latest newcomer to this celebration of the spirit of Ireland is the The Whiskey Trail, in Dublin and Galway. The Galway tour kicked off in the City of Tribes on March 1 and tomorrow (March 9) the Dublin tour is set to start.

This new tour invites whiskey lovers to explore the best whiskey bars in Ireland. In Dublin guests will discover the true spirit of Ireland, in bars such as Dingle Whiskey Bar, Darkey Kelly’s, Mary’s Hardware and Irish Whiskey Museum.

The Whiskey Trail is the newest food and drink tour available from Adventure Trails, the company who run the Irish Food Trail and the Tapas Trail. For the last three years they have been helping locals and visitors alike experience the rich culture, local produce and friendly atmosphere that Ireland has to offer.

On the Whiskey Trail guests will get the chance to taste handpicked uniquely Irish whiskies in the company of local experts. Visitors will taste six uniquely Irish whiskies in three different Irish whiskey bars. The group also offer a deluxe trail for something truly special where the whiskies are paired with local Irish produce.
