The official trailer for 'The Irishman' premiered with the help of star Robert De Niro while he visited The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Jimmy Fallon could hardly help but gush in the presence of Hollywood icon Robert De Niro as he discussed ‘The Irishman,’ which is set to premiere at the New York Film Festival on September 27.

“It’s everything you want in a Martin Scorsese - Robert De Niro film. It is every single thing that you want,” says Fallon. This is the ninth time that Scorsese and De Niro have worked together.

De Niro joins Hollywood legends Joe Pesci, Al Pacino, and Harvey Keitel for the mob pic that is an adaptation of Charles Brandt’s 2004 book ‘I Heard You Paint Houses.’

The official trailer, which debuted on The Tonight Show on September 25, gives viewers the most in-depth sneak peek of the highly-anticipated film:

The latest trailer comes just ahead of the film’s debut at New York Film Festival on September 27. The movie will hit theaters in the US on November 1 before heading to Netflix on November 27, the night before Thanksgiving in the US.

De Niro chatted with megafan Fallon about the project that has been years in the making:

De Niro also discussed the de-aging technology used in the film. He joked, “I’m happy because maybe it’ll extend my career another 30 years.”
