Famous Irishmen Liam Neeson and Brendan Gleeson star in the trailer for "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs."

Irish actors Liam Neeson and Brendan Gleeson are part of a star-studded cast for Netflix’s latest project "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs," whose official trailer was released this week.

Directed by the award-winning Ethan and Joel Coen, "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" is a six-part Western anthology film that will hit Netflix on November 16 as well as select theaters.

The Coen Brothers are no strangers to Western films. In 2007, they won the Oscar for Best Picture for "No Country for Old Men," which they adapted for the screen from Cormac McCarthy’s eponymous novel. In 2010, their remake of "True Grit" was nominated for ten Academy Awards.

"The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" premiered at Venice Film Festival this year where it was awarded best screenplay, and it shows at the New York Film Festival later this month.

The Netflix film series tells stories about the American frontier, with each installment telling a distinct story about the American West.   

Irish actors Liam Neeson and Brendan Gleeson star alongside James Franco, Tom Waits, Bill Heck, Zoe Kazan and Tyne Daly in the Netflix Original Film.
