The actress, whose popularity saw a major surge after her lead role in "Bridgerton" season three, is set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of Enid Blyton's "The Magic Faraway Tree".

Nicola will star opposite Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy in the film, which is helmed by BAFTA Award-winning Simon Farnaby, the brains behind "Paddington 2" and "Wonka".

The beloved children's novel follows the Thompson family - Polly, Tim and their kids Beth, Joe and Fran.

The family of five moves to the English countryside. Initially unhappy about upping sticks, the siblings discover an enchanted tree that plays host to an array of magical creatures, from fairies to pixies.

Naturally, their triumphant discovery leads to incredible adventures as they find their supernatural companions are keen to take them on journeys to faraway lands.

Claire Foy and Andrew Garfield portray the Thompson parents, while Nicola plays Silky, a beloved pixie who helps the family along their adventures.

Nicola is seen in a trailer for the film tagging along on the adventures and joining in on the fun.

Sharing a photo of herself in costume in December, Nicola introduced Silky to her followers. She wrote: "This is Silky- so called because of her silky, golden hair (naturally).

"This movie is really, really, really special, and I can’t wait for you all to see it. #TheMagicFarawayTree trailer coming very soon…"

An earlier magical image, shared with The Hollywood Reporter, shows Nicola's Silky peeking through the lush branches of the Magic Faraway Tree.

"Ted Lasso's" Nonso Anozie plays self-appointed leader of the group, Moonface, while "Baby Reindeer's" Jessica Gunning stars as Dame Washalot and "Slow Horses'" star Dustin Demri-Burns plays Saucepan Man.

Elsewhere, Mark Heap plays Mr Oom Boom, Oliver Chris stars as Mr Watzisname and Dune's Rebecca Ferguson stars as Dame Slap.

"The Magic Faraway Tree" is released on March 27. Bring it on!
