Liam Neeson features in a new trailer for "Cold Storage," which is being described as a "ticking-clock science-fiction epic," "an action-packed thrill ride,"  and "pure popcorn fun."

Co Antrim star Neeson - fresh off starring in the "Naked Gun" reboot - joins Joe Keery ("Stranger Things") and Georgina Campbell ("Barbarian") in the upcoming flick from StudioCanal.

The synopsis for the new film says: "When a highly contagious, mutating fungus escapes a sealed facility, two young employees (Keery and Campbell), joined by a grizzled bioterror operative (Neeson), must survive the wildest night shift ever to save humanity from extinction, as the microorganism spreads and destroys everything in its path."

"Cold Storage" is directed by Jonny Campbell ("Dracula") and written by David Koepp ("Jurassic Park," "Mission: Impossible," "Presence").

"Cold Storage" also features Sosie Bacon and Lesley Manville, as well as Vanessa Redgrave, the mother of Neeson's late wife, Natasha Richardson.

Neeson told The Hollywood Reporter last year that he had no scenes with Redgrave: "In fact, the day she started work was the day I actually flew back home from Rome. But we were in the same hotel and so we had dinner.

"Her character and her scenes in the film, she’s probably going to steal the movie. She’s perfect casting for it. It’s a good script and a good story. But, yeah, she’s going to steal the fecking movie."

"Cold Storage" is coming to cinemas across the US, Ireland, and the UK in 2026.
