Could Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx, two of Hollywood's brightest stars, be heading to Carlow for their nuptials?

The rumor mill went into overdrive when actress Katie Holmes was sighted at Borris House with her daughter Suri. The duo were photographed roaming around the venue, and even stayed the night.

The 39-year-old star is believed to have been inquiring about hosting a wedding at the medieval stately home, although no bookings have been made yet.

Holmes, who was formerly married to Tom Cruise, has been dating award-winning actor Jamie Foxx for five years.

The tabloid-shy couple have gone to great lengths to hide their relationship, but have been photographed holding hands in public several times over the past year.

However the former Dawson's Creek star recently dispelled rumors of a rift between her and Foxx. In a statement, she dismissed gossip of a split as "100% untrue".

Her visit to Carlow's Borris House seems to have kicked off talk in the media about an impending marriage ceremony.

The venue is known for its boutique-style wedding receptions.

“She was friendly and personable, happy to talk to people and pose for photos, as was Suri,” a source told the Daily Beast.

She was said to have asked about the house’s history and its use as a wedding venue, but no booking has been made as yet, our sources told the outlet.

Holmes' great-grandfather Martin hails from Tipperary, so an Irish wedding could be her way of getting in touch with her roots.

While in Ireland, Holmes also visited popular artisan eatery Avoca in Monkstown, Dublin, and visited Kilkenny Caste with LA-based Irish tech millionaire, Brendan Morrissey.
