The Celebrity Traitors star is currently on tour in America with her show, "Pinotphile", and is set to make her US TV chat show debut on Monday, October 19.

While many fans congratulated Joanne on landing some airtime on the show, which is watched by an average of 1.5 million people weekly, others were not too happy.

Some social media users have questioned her decision to appear on the program following Conor McGregor’s appearance on the show in June, where Jimmy was criticized for being "too soft" on him.

Reacting to Joanne's appearance on the show, one TikTok user, Holli Breslin, said that while she was "delighted" for the comedian, she was disappointed it was on "The Tonight Show".

Holi said in a video: "Wasn’t it just a few months ago when people were calling Jimmy Fallon out and saying that they won’t support him again because he had Conor McGregor on — a man who was found liable for rape — on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon', and he just had the craic with him and had a laugh and a joke around.

"It wasn’t like a lot of people didn’t know that McGregor was on his show — it was a pretty big deal, and it was big backlash that he got,' while adding that ‘celebrities aren’t being held accountable for their own actions."

But Joanne hit back, saying she wasn't going to miss an opportunity because of McGregor.

"Imagine every single woman was expected to deplatform / silence / shrink herself from all and any public platform or professional opportunity cos it had previously had a bad man on it…

"He’s ruined enough women’s lives... I’ll be taking the opportunity."
