The newly released trailer gives fans more of an inkling of the storyline the show will depict, which is a fictional account of true people and some events.

The series stars Belfast native Anthony Boyle as the eldest of the Guinness siblings, Arthur (no, not that one. His great-grandson), alongside "Normal People" star Fionn O’Shea as Benjamin Guinness, Louis Partridge as Edward Guinness and Emily Fairn as Anne Plunket (neé Guinness).

Other familiar names and faces include James Norton as Sean Rafferty, Jack Gleeson as Byron Hedges, Michael McElhatton as John Potter, Niamh McCormack as Ellen Cochrane, Dervla Kirwan as Aunt Agnes Guinness, Danielle Galligan as Lady Olivia Hedges, David Wilmot as Bonnie Champion and Hilda Fay as Sultan.

The story kicks off with the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, and as the trailer depicts the reading of his will doesn’t go as planned for his children.

Couple that with the rise of the Fenians in the capital, there’s more than a little trouble brewing for the family.

You may also notice in the trailer that James Norton is using an Irish accent and isn’t playing a Brit in the series.

The English actor explained when speaking to Digital Spy at the world premiere of his film Joy that he had ‘an absolute ball’ making the show and elaborated on how he was managing the Irish accent.

He said: "It’s an amazing group of people, a lot of Irish actors, lots of Guinness, I’m the only non-Irish interloper who ironically is playing the most Irish of them all, [so] I’ve got to be as Dubs as they come. They’ve been very kind, helping me with my accent, but yeah, it’s a lot of fun."

"House of Guinness" lands on Netflix on September 25 and you can check out the trailer below:
