Other Voices presents a legendary night of music as Foo Fighters bring their stadium anthems to St James’ Church, Dingle.

The surprise performance in St James’ Church teases the band’s forthcoming album Your Favourite Toy. The unforgettable show will air this  Easter Monday April 6th on RTÉ 2 Television at 9:30pm (BST)

Rock group Foo Fighters are set to appear in a new one-hour Other Voices special this Easter Monday, ahead of the release of their new album Your Favourite Toy on 24 April.

Captured in the intimate and storied setting of St James' Church, the performance was filmed last month as a secret, one-night-only show for just 80 fans to celebrate the forthcoming release of their new album. Airing on Easter Monday at 9.30pm on RTÉ2 and worldwide on the RTÉ Player this special programme brings one of the world’s biggest rock bands to one of Ireland’s most beloved musical stages.

The peerless purveyors of rock and roll kicked off Other Voices’ 25th anniversary celebrations, as the series continues to capture world-class artists in uniquely intimate spaces. With a career spanning decades and a catalogue of indelible anthems that helped shape modern rock, Foo Fighters deliver a visceral, stadium-worthy performance in their smallest show in decades - for an audience of just 80 fans -  paying tribute to the grassroots DIY community culture they came from.

“It was a real privilege and delight to welcome Foo Fighters and their magnificent crew to The Church Of St James in Dingle. It was a brilliant, moving and passionate  performance. It was a wonderful musical gift; it was the smallest stadium gig in the world.”

“This was a singular moment in the history and story of Other Voices, and a truly unforgettable way to herald this significant anniversary year, celebrating 25 years of the show," said Philip King, Other Voices Founder.

This exclusive one-hour episode features exhilarating new tracks from the band’s upcoming 12th studio album Your Favourite Toy, alongside fan favourites including My Hero, Everlong and Times Like These as well as deepcut A320, which had its first live outing since 2000.  The career-spanning setlist brings together beloved anthems and brand-new material in a once-in-a-lifetime setting.

“We have always had such a great time in Ireland. We have never done something like this before. We have played small shows to intimate audiences, but this is our first church. What we know of Other Voices is that it is something very special and also the town of Dingle is a really special place," said Dave Grohl.

Executive Producer for RTÉ Justin Healy said:

"It is incredible that Foo Fighters chose Dingle, Other Voices and RTÉ as the home for this very special intimate, but wonderfully loud performance. Our audience are in for a treat across the hour of iconic hits and new material all performed live from the Church of St James in Dingle. It has been a hard secret to keep, but now it is so exciting not only to bring this to an Irish audience, but globally to fans via the RTÉ Player."

Other Voices Presents: Foo Fighters Live in St James’ Church airs at 9.30pm on Easter Monday, 6 April on RTÉ2 and will be available to stream worldwide on the RTÉ Player.
