‘Nose of Tralee’ brings out the cutest in Irish pets.

Pet Sitters Ireland is currently hosting their fifth annual ‘Nose of Tralee’ competition. The contest, a clever riff on the international Rose of Tralee festival, looks to crown Ireland’s most adorable pet.

Animals of all shapes and sizes are welcome to enter the competition which is already well underway for 2018. The winner for this year will be announced on August 21, the same night that the 2018 Rose of Tralee will be crowned.

32 finalists have been named in the competition, one pet per county in Ireland. From there, the points are distributed to each pet based on “number of public votes (33% of score), quality, cuteness and uniqueness of photo (33% of score), and written entry (33% of score).” The public is able to vote once every 24 hours on Pet Sitters Ireland web page.

“Ireland is a nation of huge animal lovers and we look forward to this time of year to celebrate the special bond that people have with their pets,” said Kate McQuillan, owner of Pet Sitters Ireland.

The winner will receive a photo shoot with David Mcauley photography, and a range of prizes from Pet Sitters Ireland, Dabble in Art, Buster Box and Naturo Pet Food.

We can’t imagine that there’s a clear cut winner as each of the entrants are adorable in their own right!
