Dublin fine dining institution Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud claimed the top accolade of Best Restaurant in Ireland, while Ahmet Dede of Dede at The Customs House Baltimore was named Best Chef in Ireland.
The ceremony marked the 17th edition of the awards, which organizers said attracted more than 150,000 public nominations submitted through media partner The Irish Times.
Paul and Máire Flynn of The Tannery Restaurant, Townhouse and Cookery School received the Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of their long-standing contribution to Irish hospitality and food culture.
Funds raised during the evening will support The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.
Speaking at the event, Restaurants Association of Ireland president Seán Collender said the awards celebrated the people driving the sector forward.
“Tonight is a celebration of the people who make Ireland’s hospitality industry one of the most vibrant and exciting sectors in the country,” he said.
“From local cafés and family-run restaurants to world-class dining destinations, these Awards recognize the passion, dedication and innovation that can be found in every corner of Ireland.”
Collender also said Ireland’s culinary reputation continues to grow internationally.
