Ireland's Office of Public Works (OPW)  has announced the return of a series of living history tours at the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre in Oldbridge, Co Meath this summer.

History buffs, military enthusiasts, and those seeking to expand their knowledge of a time past will enjoy the engaging history tours over the coming months.

Visitors can step into the 17th century with Laoch Living History and meet costumed interpreters such as musketeers, artillery gunners, blacksmiths, monks, and soldiers.

Minister of State for responsibility for the OPW, Kevin “Boxer” Moran, said: "I am delighted to see such interesting educational tours on offer over the coming months at the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre.

"The tours promise to engage visitors and offer them an insight into what life was like for soldiers on the battlefield. Why not pay a visit, step back in time and soak up the beautiful surroundings of Oldbridge Estate."

Visitors can join historian Tóla Collier for engaging battlefield walks, exploring tactics, strategies, and the life of the era. The tours offer visitors the chance to experience what life was like in the 17th Century at the Oldbridge estate.
