The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) is offering Ireland Men’s season ticket holders a refund for the UEFA Nations League match against Israel in October.
The organisation decided to play the match against Israel behind closed doors at a neutral venue, with the match set to take place in Backla Topola, Serbia, on October 4.
Among the many headaches the organisation has had since the draw was made back in February, they have now revealed that they’ll offer fans a refund or "account credit" for season ticket renewals for next year.

In a statement, the organisation said: "The Football Association of Ireland has begun the process of contacting all 2026 Ireland MNT Season Ticket holders regarding the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League fixture against Israel on Sunday, October 4th.
"With the fixture moved to a behind-closed-doors setting in Serbia due to operational challenges, Season Ticket holders are being offered the value of that fixture, either in the form of an account credit towards a Season Ticket renewal in 2027 or a monetary refund."
They added that fans have a deadline to choose their preference. "All Season Ticket holders have been sent a direct communication via email containing a link to a preference questionnaire, which should be completed by the deadline of Tuesday, September 1st."
The FAI also revealed that supporters will still be credited with loyalty points, which help fans get tickets for away matches and tournament games if Ireland qualifies. The statement read: "In addition, all Season Ticket holders will automatically receive two loyalty points."
In June, the FAI voted with an over two-thirds majority in favour of the FAI’s motion that "the profound impact that non-fulfilment of UEFA fixtures would have on Irish football as a whole and its future development."
The Stop The Game campaign is still ongoing, with protestors recently campaigning outside of Croke Park for Manchester United’s penalty shoot-out win over Leeds United in a historic friendly.
